A very warm welcome to the Valle Crucis Community Park and our website! It was my great pleasure to join the park as Executive Director in July 2009. Since then, I have been reminded daily what an incredible community Valle Crucis is, and what a treasure our Park is. I hope you will use this website not only as an opportunity to learn more about the Park, but also to keep in touch with us. I will use this page to keep you updated on upcoming events, fundraising goals, and projects being taken on in the Park. Update December 15, 2009 ~ Valle Crucis Community Park is pleased to announce that on Thursday, December 17th at 3:00pm we will gather to celebrate the arrival of our newest amenity: a mobile performance stage to honor the late HW Mast. The stage was designed and constructed by students in Appalachian State University’s Senior Architecture Studio. The students spent countless hours designing a stage that represents the spirit of Mr. Mast and the Valle Crucis Community. For the last several weeks, they have worked round the clock to complete construction. We invite you all to come to the park on Thursday afternoon to see the stage and to congratulate the students on a job well done. Update November 2009 ~ The Park’s Fall fund drive is officially underway! The park depends completely on the generosity of our supporters, both for special projects and for day-to-day upkeep.
