  Projects Short-Term ~ Construct a mobile stage in honor of the late H.W. Mast to be used for the summer concert series, Valle Crucis Elementary School productions, and other community events ~ Build a new park office ~ Design a meditative garden and walking path in the park ~ Implement a recycling program in the park ~ Resurface the playground areas ~ Improve the Park’s Watauga River access and develop more substantial vegetative buffers along the river and pond Medium-Term ~ Complete a master land use plan for the park Long-Term ~ Acquire more land to protect in perpetuity ~ Add new bathrooms ~ Increase our endowment to create long-term financial stability for the park ~ Develop a Valle Crucis Riverwalk  "I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving." ~ Oliver Wendell Holmes |
